This Deadpool 3 hasn’t even been released in theaters yet, it’s already setting records. According to figures reported by Disney, the trailer for the next Marvel film recorded 365 million views in 24 hours (cumulative on all platforms) and thus exceeded the previous record established by the 355 million of the trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.

The Super Bowl effect?

An impressive figure, which therefore makes the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine the most viewed of all time in just one short day. A mind-blowing figure, especially when we put it into perspective with the already impressive figures ofAvengers: Endgame (289 million), Avengers: Infinity War (268 million) or even The Rings of Power (257 million).

A score certainly made possible by the popularity of the character of Deadpool, and by the expected return of Hugh Jackman in the role of Wolverine, but also by the release of the trailer at the time of the Super Bowl.

The annual American football event this year achieved the largest audience in the history of American television with 123.4 million viewers.

Expected in French cinemas on July 24, Deadpool & Wolverine marks the official arrival of Deadpool in the MCU, and promises to involve him in the Tribunal of Anachronistic Variations (TVA) seen in the series Loki.

It is also the only film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe scheduled for 2024, after years of multiple productions. Above all, it is an opportunity for the studio to relaunch a franchise that is losing momentum.

Directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy, Stranger Things), the film sees the return of Ryan Reynolds in the title role and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The duo will be joined in the cast by Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney and Matthew Macfadyen.
