MFaced several times, Sandrine Rousseau announced that she had already obtained “three convictions” from the courts. MP EELV-Nupes was the guest of BFMTV on Sunday. “I have already obtained three convictions from people who threatened me with either death or rape,” she said.

She was reacting to the announcement of Elisabeth Borne who wishes to set up a “center for the analysis and fight against attacks on elected officials” in the face of the rise in violence. Sandrine Rousseau considered this proposal “ridiculous”. “We elected officials know the threats. I get a lot of them,” she explained. Instead of this center for analysis and the fight against violence against elected officials, the Green MP believes that it would be preferable “to have a mobilization of the State which protects its elected officials”.

An upsurge in violence against elected officials

On the BFMTV set, Sandrine Rousseau pointed out the government’s inaction in the face of this violence against elected officials. “I never benefited from protection,” she lamented, stressing however that she faced many threats. If the elected EELV-Nupes indicates however to have sent a letter to the cabinet of the Ministry of the Interior, this one assures that she had by way of answer only an end of inadmissibility.
