A few weeks ago, Antoine Lenoir, who had already participated in “Don’t forget the lyrics” on France 2, died in an accident. Nagui wanted to pay tribute to the young singer.
July 8, 2022 was to be a big party, since already on the show in May 2021, Antoine was to reappear in “Don’t forget the lyrics” with Nagui. Unfortunately, on June 24, the young man died in a traffic accident, and some of his relatives did not want his passage to be broadcast.
Nagui “We are wholeheartedly with his family”
The production of the show therefore deprogrammed the passage of Antoine, although she had from the announcement of the disappearance of the young man, wished to react with a press release “The whole team of Don’t forget the lyrics is very saddened by the premature and tragic departure of Antoine. We will remember him as an endearing and sunny young man, passionate about music.. Our thoughts go out to his family and all his loved ones in this terrible ordeal.“. Instead of the planned broadcast, the best moments of Natasha, the maestro of the moment were broadcast. However, before that, Nagui wanted to react with a poignant tribute. “We are wholeheartedly with his family” he argued, before continuing that “Family members did not want this show to air. We obviously respect their pain and their decision”
On social networks, Antoine Lenoir was very active and regularly published videos, as well as images of his time on Nagui’s set. After his elimination, in May 2021, he had made a promise to return, and had kept it before life decides otherwise. “I don’t know if my defeat was honourable, what I do know is that I was there. I managed to get to your TV and that’s already my first victory. My second victory is to have met incredible people who, like me, will take their revenge in a short year. So many other things allow me to say that going to the set was already a victory” he then wrote. Positive and determined, this is how everyone will remember Antoine.
