A native of Trieste, a graduate of the Beaux-Arts in Milan, he left Italy in 1947 to settle in France with his friend Stefano Lonati. The two founded the Belokapi company in 1968, which produced, among other things, numerous sequences for the mythical children’s program L’île aux enfants, broadcast on the ORTF from September 1974 to January 1975.

On October 16, 1974, a blue boy and a pink girl wearing giant felt hats appeared on the ORTF in the stop motion animated series Chapi Chapo, whose credits music was created by François de Roubaix.

This youth program, featuring these two little puppets evolving in an abstract universe populated by multicolored cubes, consisted of 60 episodes of 5 min. It will go around the world, to the United States where it will be broadcast in the show pin wheel on the Nickelodeon channel.
