Decathlon Stilus E-Touring: the sturdy electric hybrid bike for (very) long hikes

The Decathlon Stilus E-Touring is an open low frame 6061 aluminum hybrid bike designed for long hikes or even cycling trips. This biclou features a latest generation Bosch Performance Line CX motor with a torque of 85 Nm. Combined with a removable 750 Wh battery providing up to 130 km of autonomy, it should allow you to climb any hill, even if the bike is well loaded.

The rear rack can support up to 40 kg, while the rigid fork is compatible with racks for attaching panniers. In total, Decathlon ensures that the bike can carry up to 145 kg (cyclist included). The brand also offers a range of perfectly adapted panniers: two waterproof panniers of 24 l at the rear, two waterproof panniers of 14 l at the front and a waterproof handlebar bag of 7 l, all for a total of 83 l of capacity.

As often with Decathlon, the quality/price/equipment ratio is excellent. There are 29-inch wheels shod with 2.35″ Schwalbe Al Grounder tires. Fairly wide, they compensate for the lack of suspension. Ergonomic Adrenalin grips are provided by Heemans while the flat pedals feel quite wide. On the transmission side, there is a 10-speed Microshift Advent X derailleur, and hydraulic braking with 180 mm discs is provided by Clarks. The bike is also equipped with wide mudguards, a side stand and an Italia ST7 saddle.

As our colleagues from Transition Vélo note, this Decathlon Stilus E-Touring is an all-in-one bike – sometimes called an SUV – something that was missing from the brand’s catalog. This type of bike, which is very popular with all manufacturers, can be used for going to work as well as for shopping, weekend outings and even – let’s be crazy – for traveling by bike.

The Decathlon Stilus E-Touring bike is available in sizes S (1.50 to 1.65 m – 26 kg), M (1.66 to 1.77 m – 26.2 kg) or L (1.78 to 1.89 m – 26.4 kg) for a price of 3500 €.
