The BNetzA has now published deadlines by which 1&1 must end the dual position. Accordingly, sales as a service provider must be discontinued by the end of 2023 at the latest. Any activity as a service provider must be ended by the end of 2025.
Klaus Müller, President of the Federal Network Agency, says: “With the decision on when to end the double position of 1&1, the competitive independence of this network operator will be established. This will promote competition.”
