FC Bayern’s deadline is set to expire at midnight

The negotiations for top striker Harry Kane have been going on for weeks, now the end of the transfer saga is apparently imminent: According to a report, those responsible at FC Bayern Munich have set a deadline – and it will expire in a few hours.
FC Bayern Munich has allegedly set a deadline for Tottenham Hotspur in the negotiations for Harry Kane. The British newspaper “Telegraph” claims to have learned that the German record champions asked Spurs to accept a last offer for the England star on Friday before midnight. Otherwise, Bayern would look for alternatives for Kane. Everyone involved had an interest in the issue being clarified as quickly as possible, it said.
According to information from the “Telegraph”, the Spurs expect at least 100 million euros for their record goalscorer. According to information from the TV broadcaster “Sky”, Bayern have improved their offer again and are now offering the club’s record sum of over 100 million euros for the captain of the English national team. This would make the English striker the most expensive entry in Bundesliga history.
Record deal or free transfer
Should the clubs not come to an agreement, Kane is expected to fulfill his current contract in London and could then leave Tottenham on a free transfer in the summer of 2024. The 30-year-old attacker is said to have ruled out a premature extension of his contract. Spurs owner Joe Lewis is said to have instructed club boss Daniel Levy to sell Kane now.
Spurs coach Ange Postecoglou had also spoken out in favor of an early decision. The Spurs’ Premier League season begins on August 13 with an away game at FC Brentford. Should Kane leave the club, Tottenham would have to look for a replacement for their top scorer.
FC Bayern starts the new Bundesliga season on August 18th at Werder Bremen. The Munich team would like to have Kane in the Supercup on Saturday in a week’s time against DFB Cup winners RB Leipzig.
