Ecovacs took advantage of CES 2024 to present a new version of its high-end robot, the Deebot X2 Combo, but the firm continues to invest in the mid-range and is preparing to launch a new model. And even two. The Deebot T30 OMNI will indeed be launched with a slightly more intelligent Pro version, even if the two models still seem very similar.

More power and a mobile mop

Contrary to what one might expect from a mid-range model, the Deebot T30 OMNI brings several improvements, some of which are new to Ecovacs. The new robot, for example, introduces a mop shift system similar to what Dreame offers on its L20 Ultra. To wash the floor, it relies on a pair of mops which rotate on themselves at the back of the robot, one of which can be moved aside to approach the walls. These mops can also be raised by 9 mm to allow the robot to vacuum the carpets without getting them wet.

On the suction side, the Deebot T30 OMNI promises increased power compared to the T20 – 11,000 Pa announced against 6000 -, and adds a sort of comb which brushes the roller helping it to pick up waste on the ground, in order to avoid that hair does not get tangled around it. We of course find with this a small side brush while the TrueMapping 2.0 and TrueDetect 3D 3.0 laser systems are taken from the T20, respectively for mapping and obstacle detection. Ecovacs still adds a command to start cleaning the foot when the robot is on its station.

A more rounded and compact station

This station, moreover, inaugurates a new rounded design, and above all more compact, according to Ecovacs. It must be said that the stations of the OMNI models – namely the most complete, with automatic emptying, washing (with hot water since the T20) and filling in addition to charging – were until now particularly imposing and above all very high. The new one is limited to 48 cm in height (for 41 x 49 cm on the ground).

It also seems possible to connect it to the water network using a kit which would then take the place of the water tank on top, and would save a few centimeters in height. For now, however, we have found little information on this kit, but it would not be surprising if it was reserved for the Deebot T30 Pro OMNI. The latter’s station, in any case, would have another particularity: that of analyzing the “degree of soiling of mops” cleaning them to tell the robot to return to clean as needed.

The PRO model will be available in silver (visible here) and rosé.

In addition, the Pro version should be the only one to integrate Ecovacs’ Yiko voice assistant, but note that both versions are compatible with voice assistants from Google and Amazon. The manufacturer also adds that its application is now available on the Apple Watch for quick access.

The new Deebots are both announced with an autonomy of 200 minutes and should be available from April, to the recommended public of 899 € for the T30 OMNI and 999 € for the T30 Pro OMNI, but pre-order offers are planned. You must first purchase a coupon for €7.90 before April 9 on the manufacturer’s website, then order the robot between April 10 and 20, in the official store or on Amazon, to use it and benefit from ‘a discount of €107.90. Ecovacs mentions an equivalent discount for the Deebot T30 Pro OMNI, but it will only be possible to take advantage of it from March 20. This model should be available from Darty and Boulanger, in addition to Amazon and Ecovacs.
