Deezer, a music streaming service, has announced that it has further enriched its music catalog. Tens of millions of titles are offered on the French platform, which is widening the gap with its competitors.

For a long time, Deezer announced 73 million titles in its catalog, a figure more or less similar to that of its competitors, Spotify and Apple Music in the lead. Deezer is one of the pioneers of the music service: created in 2007, it currently has 16 million active users. The variety of the catalog is a major criterion for users, and Deezer has understood this well. This is why this catalog has been enriched.
A growing musical catalog
From 73 million titles, Deezer announces that it has increased its musical catalog to no less than 90 million pieces. A huge number that is only increasing from year to year. The icing on the cake: depending on the service, all of the tracks are available in Hi-Fi – High Fidelity quality, which corresponds to the lossless FLAC format (16-bit/44.1kHz). This format provides the equivalent of CD quality, much better than the compression of an mp3 format.
It should be noted, however, that with the widespread arrival of High Fidelity sound a few weeks ago, Deezer took the opportunity to increase the prices of its subscriptions. The French company regularly forges partnerships and signs contracts with various labels to enrich its catalog and offer diversity to listeners.
If the numbers are to be believed, Deezer is currently one of the audio streaming services that offers the most tracks to its subscribers, alongside Apple Music. To date, the other music streaming services announce 75 million titles at Amazon Music, 70 million for Spotify and Qobuz, more than 80 million at Tidal.
