On Thursday afternoon, the Voitsberg police officers were requested to support the Voitsberg district authority. A 55-year-old resisted an officially ordered acceptance of his dog. The man pushed the local veterinarian out of his apartment. The man then locked the door and never opened it again. A forced opening of the apartment followed, the Voitsberg fire brigade moved out. A police officer was injured. The forces called for by the on-call unit and the Voitsberg police officers who were already present finally arrested the man in his apartment. He resisted massively and threw himself about. One officer suffered a finger injury. The public prosecutor’s office in Graz ordered the suspect to be admitted to the Graz-Jakomini prison.
