Delphine Wespiser recounts the assault she suffered

This is not the first time that a former Miss France testifies on her personal experience and an assault of which she was the victim. After Vaimalama Chaves, attacked in the middle of the street, it’s Delphine Wespiser’s turn to experience exactly the same drama. On her Instagram account, Miss France 2012 gave a violent rant to denounce the daily life of many women. This Saturday, October 9, the columnist of Touche not at my post delivered a story to its 430,000 subscribers. “I just got attacked in the street. In a sleight of hand, my watch disappeared”, she said with emotion and especially anger.

Revolted, Delphine Wespiser also took the opportunity to aim for justice: “Fed up with this country! What are the police doing? We turned an hour to find my attacker and we haven’t seen a single police patrol in that time.” Although the influencer was not injured, the situation could very well have turned into a drama. A lost watch and a silent police in the face of these sad events, far too recurring, according to the latter. Furious against the police, the former Miss France then published the message of one of her subscribers: “The police are no longer useful.” The message is clear.

A multiplication of testimonials

Although many public figures speak of assaults on women, it is still a subject that is not often mentioned. On September 25, Vaimalama Chaves also used social networks to voice his anger: “Why should we shut up? Why should we suffer? I don’t want anyone else to have to go through this. Insecurity, anger, loss of means, it’s not possible!” she told her Instagram followers. Since the beginning of the MeToo movement, words have been released and testimonies are more and more numerous. Because assaults can take place in a workplace, in a public place but also in the street, at any time of the day.
