Since its official release on October 15, 2021, Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles (by its full name) has benefited from free updates, bringing their share of new features. However, the developers of CyberConnect2 recently announced the arrival of a paid DLC.
Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba players were looking forward to this: new characters from the universe, and from a narrative arc in particular, coming soon. They will be available via paid DLC, the exact release date of which we do not know at the time of writing. It is likely that this pack will be available at the same time as the porting of the software to Nintendo Switch, on June 10.
For now, here are the characters that will soon be included in the basic roster, thanks to the purchase of said DLC. Note that they will also be available in versus mode:
- Tengen Uzui
- Gyutaro
- Daki
- Nezuko Kamado (Awakened Form)
- Tanjiro Kamado (Pleasure Quarter Arc)
- Zenitsu Agatsuma (Pleasure Quarter Arc)
- Inosuke Hashibira (Pleasure Quarter Arc)
As you will notice, these new fighters are mainly from the narrative arc of the pleasure district. It could therefore be that the next pack concerns the village of blacksmiths. The events of this next arc will be narrated in Season 3 of the Demon Slayer anime.
For now, we do not yet know the price of this DLC. It’s a safe bet that the developers at CyberConnect 2 will communicate on this subject in the coming weeks, or even less. We will, of course, keep you informed if new information becomes available.
