It is no coincidence that Denitsa Ikonomova was invited to Canada by Christian Millette. And for good reason, their friendship goes back many years. It was together that they started the dance competitions at a time when they were not yet known to the general public, traveling all over Europe. Inseparable, they also appeared on the Canadian show So You Think You Can Dance Canada.
And it is always together that they have been called to pass the casting of Dance with the stars in 2012. “We were competing in England and we thought we were going to make a stopover in France to meet the production. Basically they told us it was just to get to know each other“, recalled Denitsa Ikonomova during an interview for Melty who would never have thought of being recruited. “I had just got off the plane, hadn’t slept for 24 hours, I was hungry, I was thirsty … Suddenly, for me, it was a disaster !“, she estimated.
Finally, Denitsa and Christian have become key figures in the TF1 program. The young woman even won the competition four times, in 2014 with Rayane Bensetti, in 2015 with Loïc Nottet, in 2016 with Laurent Maistret and in 2018 with Clément Rémiens.
