Despite major server issues, Lost Ark achieved a most successful launch

In just 3 days after its global release, Lost Ark is already breaking records. The Amazon Games game is already the second game to have had the most players connected at the same time on Steam, with a peak of 1,324,761 playersstill far ahead of PUBG first with its more than 3 million peak playersbut still ahead of CS:GO which had peaked at 1,305,714 in April 2020.

At times when the influence is less, the game still struggles to drop below the bar of 500,000 players connected at the same timesign of a successful launch, despite the slight postponement on the day of the release due to connection problems.

However, this massive influx of players has caused many problems on the server side, especially in Europe. Already, to connect to the game during the weekend, you had to want itthe queues very often exceeding the 5000 players on most game servers, with some even exceeding the 15,000 players on the most affluent servers. In terms of waiting, it was therefore necessary to count between 20 minutes and sometimes even several hours on the busiest servers to access the game. This Sunday, the crowd was so massive that for many players it was not even possible to access the server selection screenthe game closing automatically.

Lost Ark therefore constantly exceeds the 500,000 players connected at the same time and still experiencing server problemshowever, the game developers have announced thata whole new region of European servers should be coming soon to try to alleviate these problems. So hopefully they will fix these issues. which are the only blemish on a largely successful launch balance sheet. Find our test here.
