Destiny 2: Final Form, everything you need to know about the Pale Heart of the Traveler and the new Light Supers

The latter is therefore not dead, but busy fighting “internally” against his sworn enemy. A cinematic trailer full of nostalgia was thus broadcast, since memory plays a major role in the way this environment is shaped.

However, we will not be alone in the Pale heart of Traveler“born from the power of Light and the memories of Darkness”, since L’Avant-garde in full force will be present, namely Zavala, Ikora Rey and this good old Cayde-6 somehow returned from the deadwhich could have a link with what the Crow (read the caption of Ship Consequences unforeseen).

Final Form should be an absolutely unforgettable Destiny experience. We want to create something that will take its place alongside the best games we’ve made, the culmination that will honor this adventure we’ve been on together over the last ten years. Forsaken, The Witch Queen and The Taken King, that’s the standard we want to achieve.

This destination is described as linearwhich is a first, spanning a recreation of theOld Tower mixed with vegetation, until the disaster Monolith of Witnesswhich actually resembles him quite a bit and must serve to give birth to what he considers to be there Final form : the reduction of the universe into a single instant, frozen in time for eternity… The developers placed emphasis during the presentation on the difficulty and the danger which will only increase as we approach it. Our memories (Cosmodrome snowy, Vault of Glassetc.) will shape the places upon our arrival, while as we advance they are those of the Witness which will impose themselves, with an artistic direction still visibly excellent and somewhat worrying, which should make us feel small. Unlike usual, priority will be placed on the campaign and only it, the destination only opening once the missions have been completed. It remains to be seen whether Bungie will take the concept to the end by preventing us from doing anything else, which we hope will highlight the issue. After all, it shouldn’t take very long.

In an interview given to The Game Post, the now former director Joe Blackburn had cast a chill by declaring that there would only be 7 missions at the launch of the expansion, playable like the previous ones in Classic Or Legendary. The previous ones had 8 basic ones, so that’s still OK, but this is the conclusion of a decade of intrigue, so expectations are high. With the postponement, it is difficult to know if this point is still relevant, although three months of delay does not seem sufficient to disrupt such content to this extent. At any rate, a confrontation with the Witness is promised for the Raidbut it apparently won’t be enough. A situation opposite to that of King of the Taken Or Oryx was first defeated solo in the campaign before being eliminated in his Raid seems to be topical, enough to be intriguing. However, it will not be necessary to complete the Raid to get an overview of the whole story, although one important element is included. Usually, a sketched cutscene follows the world firstused to summarize what happened in the activity, so it will probably be the same here.

More globally, we must expect large-scale answers about the universe of destinywith a conclusion, but also avenues left for the futurewhile being a personal journey highlighting relationships with characters we have known for a long time now. Secrets, new activities and exploration will then come to occupy us after the campaign. While there will unfortunately still be no new breed of enemies strictly speaking, Bungie will still add a unique type of unit, the SubjugatorsminiRhulk capable of handling the Filobscure (projectiles, proximity mines and suspension) or the Stasis (we freeze and break), mass produced by the Witness.

Face oblivion

The final form appears – a nightmarish calcification of reality created by the Witness. Embark on a perilous adventure into the heart of the Traveler, mobilize the Vanguard and end the war between Light and Darkness.

To help us brave these dangers, equipment decorated with representations of our allies and associated with playing cards will be available, with for example an automatic rifle capable of healing our allies by aiming at them, a pistol firing mini-rockets with a homing head, or even the return of Khvostoc and of Red Death in exotics.

But the main attraction of the extension will be the addition of three new Supers of Lightone by Classand just as manyAspects. Obviously, many players expected a third Doctrine of the Darkness red in color, so the revelation had the effect of a cold shower. THE Arcanists will therefore be entitled to a Solar Soul capable of reducing enemies to ashes and Great overloading their skills, as well as allowing allies to inflict damage of this type if they have suitable weapons equipped. THE Titans will be able to swing abyssal axes from a distance remaining frozen in the ground and attracting surrounding threats, which can then be picked up by our comrades, in addition to having a grenade generating a mobile shield protecting the squad and whose release of energy will inflict heavy area damage. Finally, the hunters will be able to teleport up to three times in a row by throwing a cryo-electric blade, such asHiraishin of 4th Hokage, each blow concluding with a whirling strike. We already imagine violence in PvP… Their Appearance will consume their class skill in the air to propel them and deal damage of Jerk to everything below them, in addition to conferring Amplification to team members. You would have understood it, cooperation will be at the heart of these new powers.

Finally, to “break down barriers” between players and bring them together, a system of Squad Power will be implemented. Concretely, it will be based on that of the member of the group with the highest. Certain activities will therefore always need to be taken into account, while others such as campaigns or free exploration will have fixed difficulties.
