Special comeback on “DSDS”: Sarah Engels will support the jury in the next live show as a guest judge.

In 2011 she herself was in the grand finale of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. Sarah Engels (29) will celebrate her comeback on the RTL casting show next Saturday. She will sit in the second live show of the current season as a guest judge alongside Florian Silbereisen (40), Ilse DeLange (44) and Toby Gad (54). The broadcaster reports this in a statement.

Engels follows in the footsteps of Thomas Anders (59), who supported the jury in the first live show. The upcoming program with the motto “Movie Night” will be broadcast live on RTL on Saturday, April 23, from 8:15 p.m. (also via RTL+). Moderator Marco Schreyl (48) leads again through the competition, in which there are currently eight candidates in the running.

She became famous through “DSDS”.

Sarah Engels became known in 2011 through her participation in “DSDS”. In the end she was in the grand final with Pietro Lombardi (29), but left the stage in second place. She then made a career as a solo singer and actress.

She and Lombardi became a couple during the casting show, later they married and became the parents of their son Alessio (6). The two have been divorced since 2019. The singer had a daughter with her second husband Julian in December 2021.
