How the pricing table works
Devolo, a specialist in solutions for extending your home network and more particularly via carrier current technology, has just announced two new repeaters offering wifi 6.
The WiFi 6 Repeater 5400 is a terminal that plugs into your internet box to create a WiFi network (access point mode), or is used as a repeater to extend an existing network. Comparable in size to a small internet box (14 x 11.5 cm), it has two Gigabit standard Ethernet ports. On the wifi side, it supports the 802.11ax standard (wifi 6) with 574 Mb/s on the 2.4 GHz frequency band and 4800 Mb/s on the 5 GHz band. It is also Mesh compatible, which makes it possible to install several repeaters in its housing while keeping a unique network name.
The second repeater, WiFi 6 Repeater 3000 by its small name, is more traditional since it is a block to be plugged into an electrical outlet. It is equipped with a single Ethernet port to the Gigabit standard and supports wifi 6 with a cumulative speed of 3000 Mb/s. Like its predecessor, it has two frequency bands, with 574 Mb/s on band 2, 4 GHz and 2400 Mb/s on the 5 GHz band.
Devolo accompanies the release of its repeaters with a dedicated application on iOS and Android: Devolo Home Network. Once installed, it allows you to configure and manage the brand’s network devices.
The Devolo WiFi 6 Repeater 3000 and 5000 are already available at the respective prices of 99 and 149 €. Let’s hope that Devolo offers packs with several units in the case of the WiFi 6 Repeater 5000, in order to lower the bill for fully equipping a dwelling.
