The favorites prevail in the first round of the DFB Cup. Simone Rapp also celebrates at the second division club Karlsruhe.

Borussia Dortmund made it into the second round of the DFB Cup without any problems. BVB, with Gregor Kobel in goal but without Manuel Akanji, won 3-0 at third division club 1860 Munich. Goals from Donyell Malen, Jude Bellingham and Karim Adeyemi scored the final result after just 35 minutes. With VfB Stuttgart (1-0 at third division Dynamo Dresden), another Bundesliga side survived the opening round.

KSC with a victory

Second division team Karlsruher SC won 8-0 against Mecklenburg top division team (5th division) Neustrelitz. Simone Rapp from Switzerland, who switched to KSC from Vaduz, scored the goals to make it 7-0 and 8-0.

Second division Nuremberg came to a lackluster 2-0 win at fifth division Kaan-Marienborg from Siegen (NRW). Defender Enrico Valentini only closed the sack with the 2-0 in the 84th minute. The Ex St. Galler Kwadwo Duah was substituted after 65 minutes.
