After the first preview of the new features to come in Diablo 2 Resurrected at the end of last year, here is finally a more concrete list of what is to come. Admittedly, the list of changes is massive. Summing it all up is hard, but it will open up new options on so many levels. Whether that’s allowing you to use other mercenaries in a slightly more competitive way, using other skills that were previously too weak, or even finally being able to use the many pieces of green set gear you find without feel like they’re penalizing you. New runic words and recipes for the Horadrim Cube are also introduced.
An undocumented document missing from the test server, but expected to be in-game upon release, is the change to how Uber Diablo’s Invasion event works, which will become global, rather than IP-based. .
You can find the very long list of changes in the official French blog. They will be available on the PTR on January 25 on PC. The date of the deployment on the game servers is yet to be determined, but do not count on the current month of February at least.
