There will soon be a new limited event in Diablo 4. We’ll tell you what awaits you in the game in addition to lots of bonuses and why it’s worth playing now.

- The Lunar Awakening event takes place from February 6th to 20th.
- There are unique shrine effects and special monsters during the event.
- Get bonuses and collect favor from the ancestors.
In Diablo 4, there will be a limited event in Sanctuary shortly after the start of the construct’s new season. From February 6th to 20th, 2024 you can get bonuses and cosmetic items.
In the event, you can activate Lunar Shrines in various areas to receive 50 percent bonus experience points, increased movement speed and various buffs. The goal is to collect favors from the ancestors, which can be exchanged for special items.
Various shrines with effects
Dragon-themed shrines can be found throughout Sanctuary and, according to the Blizzard Blog, provide the following bonus effects:
- Artillery shrine – Skill uses have a chance to summon a Holy Bomb.
- Shrine of the Blast Wave – Every explosion summons a cluster bombardment.
- Channeling Shrine – Increased attack speed and increased chance to reset cooldowns.
- Shrine of Connection – You regularly summon shocking hits.
- Shrine of Greed – There is a chance to summon a Treasure Goblin. While the shrine is active, 25 enemies killed will summon a Treasure Goblin and 50 will summon a second one.
- Deadly shrine – There is a chance to instantly execute a monster hit and terrify nearby monsters. Note: This includes elite enemies, but excludes bosses and other player characters.
- Shrine of Protection – You reflect all damage taken. Reflected damage scales with level and world tier.
The event is available in both the Seasonal and Eternal Realms. A central point of contact is the Lunar Night Market, run by Ying-Yue, where you can exchange your ancestral favor for exclusive lunar renewal.

Additionally, special Nightmare Dungeon Seals with the Favor of the Ancestral Dungeon Affix guarantee that only Lunar Shrines will spawn in these dungeons. You will receive an additional ten percent bonus glyph experience after completing a dungeon with the affix.
