Diablo IV: the Vessel of Hatred expansion revealed and several new seasonal features to come

This weekend is the BlizzCon 2023 and the opening ceremony which was held this Friday evening was the opportunity for Blizzard to make a whole bunch of announcements for its different universes. Diablo IV was thus shown followingOverwatch 2 with the appearance on stage of Rod Fergusson and then the directors of the game’s direction Chris Wilson and Tiffany Wat. A summary of some new features of the Blood Season then took place, but above all, several new things to come.

So, from next week, five Rings of Evil class-specific unique features will be implementedallowing you to “relive the fun” of Season of Mischief by exploiting the powers of the latter. Afterwards, on Tuesday, December 5, a preview window of the enchantments will be added to the Occultistsused to see the available affixes before spending our resources, as well asan event endgame named theZir Slaughterhouse which will last six weeks. It will be difficult from the start and will become even more difficult as we progress through its depths, highly replayable and especially intended for level 100 characters who have defeated Uber Duriel and completed all other challenges currently present in the game. As a reward, a Paragon Glyph will be offered, created from Zir himself.

Then it is Winter’s Bane Holiday Event (Midwinter Blight) which will occupy the community for three weeks from December 12transforming the Broken Peaks into terrifying winter territory. You will particularly have to watch out for a mysterious terror in a red cape, oh oh oh! About the Season 3it will add a type of weekly challenge with Tournamentwith some leaderboards allowing the highest ranked players to be immortalized in the seasonal ancestral hall of fame.

But the highlight of the presentation was of course the revelation of the next chapter of our adventures Sanctuary :

Yes, the leaks seem to be confirmed since Mephisto will be at the heart of this extension called Vessel of Hatred. We had not reported the second leak which also spoke of the class of Spiritbornbut it seems all the more credible now since it evoked the region of Nahantua completely new name designating the south of the continent where is located Kurast and the Torajan Jungle. On the other hand, neither the trailer announcement nor the presentation on stage have made this class official for the moment, since all we know is that it will be unpublished. It is Mephisto who also narrates the video opening with a prayer to the Zakarumstating that he becomes stronger with every step he takes Neyrelle and that there is no salvation in the light.

Vessel of Hatred continues the dark story that began in Diablo IV, as you uncover the fate of the primordial demon Mephisto and his evil plans for Sanctuary. To do this, you will visit a new region of Diablo IV, called Nahantu by the locals. This continuation of the campaign story comes with new ways to play, new dangers to overcome anda new class never before seen in the Diablo universe. Receptacle of Hate will be released next year, and We look forward to telling you more about this next summer.

Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred will be released at the end of 2024 (“late 2024” in English). If you have not yet discovered the world of Sanctuary, Diablo IV is sold from €51.90 on Amazon.
