Diane Kruger has been successful in show business for many years. However, the birth of her daughter changed everything in 2018, as the actress now reveals.
The mother role has been her favorite role for three years. In 2018, Diane Kruger, 45, and Norman Reedus, 52, became the parents of a daughter. Everything changed for the German-born actress at that moment, she explains in an interview with “Women’s Health”. Since then, career has come second, with family time being the top priority.
Diane Kruger: Motherhood changed the perspective
“Motherhood changed everything – it’s such a cliché, but it’s true,” said Diane Kruger. “I see work differently. I love to work; in fact, I appreciate it more now than before, but at the same time you look at everything from a different perspective.”
She no longer asked herself what she could do for her career first. Instead, it is more about what could fit into her schedule, explains the 45-year-old.
Back at work six months after the birth
However, only six months after the birth of her daughter, she started training again for her next film, “The 355”, in which she plays a German spy. “It was formidable,” she admits looking back today. “But after six months as a full-time mother, I was ready to take care of myself and get out of the house. It was fun to get out for a couple of hours every day and concentrate on my body and my work.”
