It will soon be 6 months Battlefield 2042 is available and suffers the wrath of players who have purchased the game. Having come out with many bugs, the community resented DICE for offering them a game in such a state. Battlefield 2042 has seen many updates that haven’t changed much of the problem and even postponed its season 1 but the players continued to be unhappy, so much so that a few weeks ago, a petition asking for a full refund of the game has emerged. DICE has finally taken the lead in announcing a complete overhaul of the game, which they believe is the most effective solution.
The concern of Battlefield 2042 rests in its many bugs but not only. The community has often called on DICE to do something regarding the maps of his game. The latter are far too large, with almost non-existent reliefs, thus greatly favoring the snipers. The maps also lend themselves poorly to game modes. In Conquest, the fights are almost non-existent and very low intensity while in Breakthrough, the exact opposite occurs, the maps giving way to fights without any sense. DICE therefore has because of these additional worries, decided to review the cards of the gamewhether in terms of the design of the latter, the placement of the objectives and even the number of players.
In Breakthrough mode, we should therefore see a decrease in the number of soldiers arriving, to make the mode’s chaotic combat more consistent. The maps will therefore also be reworked and will see the objectives change location, thus creating new pathways and shortening the time it takes to get from one point to another. To counter the problem of snipers, DICE hopes to be able to redesign in-game paths to make them more secure and easier to cover from enemy lines of fire.
On the other hand, DICE does not hide it, developing this redesign will take forever. This is why no release date has yet been announced. The studio invites you to pass members of the community who wish to help them by making suggestions on the dedicated forum. Big changes are therefore coming to Battlefield 2042, hope they fix all the issues.
