Unfortunately, his fate becomes a little darker still.
Indeed, Snap is forced to organize a recall campaign for the Pixy because of a problem with the battery, which can overheat and therefore present a fire risk. Snap will reimburse everyone who purchased a Pixy drone
“ Customer safety is a top priority for Snap. As such, we are recalling batteries for Pixy and offering refunds for all Pixy products », Informs Snap support. The company isolated two situations: those who purchased a Pixy and people who received it as a gift. The return processes are different.
Have you bought a Pixy? Simply click on the “Return your Pixy” link. Did you receive it as a gift? You will then need to contact [email protected]. No proof of purchase will be requested, although documentation could speed up the process. Please note, you will have to return the drone without the battery. Snap specifies on this subject: “ All batteries should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. » This means that you will have to get rid of the problematic component yourself, which could be purchased separately in order to extend the autonomy. Snap finally recommends no longer using the Pixy at all, even to synchronize photos and videos that the camera has recorded in recent weeks.
