If you liked seeing the cartoons of the time come to life in video games in Cupheadthen the title that has just been announced could well make you fall in love with it.

When the 1930s inspired video game developers
Even if you’ve never played it before, you probably haven’t forgotten cupdhead. This title, developed by MDHR studio, and originally released in September 2017, left an indelible mark on many minds, and not just for its arduous boss fights. Straight out of the 1930s, whether for its cartoon-like art direction or its jazzy soundtrack, this 2D action/platformer has since been spun off into an animated series on Netflix with The Cuphead Show!.
Anyway, the license Cuphead has since visibly inspired the world. The independent studio Fumi Games recently unveiled a first-person shooter, in a visual style that will be reminiscent of that adopted by our favorite mugs.
Discover Mouse, an FPS in a cute and dark cartoon atmosphere
In Mouse, you will play a private detective named John Mouston, who will have to, equipped with a few weapons, travel through a dangerous and corrupt city. Although we ultimately have very little information about it, the title immediately manages to grab our attention with its retro, inspired visual style, like Cuphead, from Disney’s 1930s animation. As you can see from these first images, this is an FPS that will also draw inspiration from the film noir genre.
For now, Mouse does not yet have a release date. It seems that the Fumi Games teams still have a lot of work to do before hoping to be able to announce any release window. According to the developers’ official website, the title should be cross-platform and is therefore expected to land on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox and PlayStation at the same time. One thing is certain: we can’t wait to see (her) more about him!
