The drummer of the Toten Hosen is now German. Vom Ritchie presents his naturalization certificate on Instagram.

Vom Ritchie (56), the drummer of the Toten Hosen ("Here comes Alex"), is now German. In a snapshot that was published on the band's Instagram account, among other things, the musician in a traditional hat and leather pants holds his naturalization certificate in the camera. "We did it: We warmly congratulate you on your naturalization," says the attached comment. The drummer, whose real name is Stephen George Ritchie, is originally from England.

Bandmate Campino is also British

In a way, Ritchie is doing the same as Hosen frontman Campino (58), who was born in Düsseldorf and has not only been a German but also a British citizen for a little less than two years. Sir Sebastian Wood (59), who was British Ambassador in Berlin at the time, shared a picture with the singer on Twitter in March 2019. He wrote: "On days like this, I love my job. Today I had the pleasure of holding the naturalization ceremony for my friend and now compatriot #Campino!"
