Disappearance of Delphine Jubillar: the 5 hypotheses studied: Current Woman The MAG

Fifty days after the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, the gendarmes still seem far from a final outcome. But what is it actually happened on the evening of December 15, 2020? Cédric Jubillar, the husband of the missing woman, does not know any more than the investigators … at least until 8 p.m., the time when he sees his wife for the last time with his son in the living room. During this period, the couple communicate little, except about a divorce scheduled in the days following the Christmas holidays. In order not to disturb their two children, one of whom was heard by the police, the young couple preferred to stand still until the end of the year. On December 16, 2020, around five in the morning, Cédric Jubillar called the police and declared his wife missing. Nowadays, the gendarmes in charge of the investigation are studying five leads.

1. A voluntary disappearance

This is certainly the hypothesis in which the gendarmes believe the least. Would Delphine Jubillar have left of her own free will? Asked about it by the magazine Marianne, the lawyer of Delphine Jubillar's relatives, Me Philippe Pressecq, expressed his doubts: "No one in the family believes it, Delphine would not have left with nothing without telling her friends", he explained. However, in his close entourage, some friends do not irreducibly rule out the potential "adult runaway" of the young woman.

2. Her husband's involvement

If Cédric Jubillar turns out to be out of the question of the disappearance of his wife, he nevertheless suffers from the many parallels made with other sordid affairs. Indeed, for several weeks, the husband of the missing has been compared to Jonathann Daval, now sentenced to twenty-five years in prison, who had finally admitted the murder of his wife, first declared missing.

In January 2021, the research section of Toulouse summons the husband of Delphine Jubillar who will therefore be heard for the first time by the investigators. "Of course, everyone is wondering", had admitted the lawyer of the cousins and friends of Delphine Jubillar. For Me Alary, Cédric Jubillar's lawyer, his client would no longer be one of the suspects for a long time: "Not only does nothing allow him to be incriminated, but as the days go by, and given the enormous investigations carried out, one can think that this lead is being ruled out ", he had declared to Marianne.

3. A malicious "prowler"

Would Delphine Jubillar have been kidnapped or attacked by a passer-by at night? According to the lawyer of the relatives of the missing nurse, this assumption is foolish. "No prowler walks in the area, no one will run in Cagnac-les-Mines", commented Me Pressecq for Marianne. Moreover, it would suppose that the young woman was out in the night. Why would she have done it? When Cédric Jubillar discovers the absence of his wife, he imagines that she has gone to take her two dogs out. However, the two Shar-Pei are lying in their niche.

Tracking dogs, in collaboration with the gendarmerie, have found the trace of the young woman to a crossroads about two hundred meters from the house. What was she doing there? It is the most complete blur.

4. A lover involved in his disappearance

When Cédric Jubillar is questioned by the gendarmes of Cagnac-les-Mines in January 2021, he learns that his wife had a virtual affair with another man, from Montauban, met a few weeks earlier on a dating site. "He was not aware of this affair, although he could suspect it," said Me Alary. However, the man in question would have provided a solid alibi for investigators to justify his activity on the evening of December 15, 2020. A lead quickly ruled out.

5. A neighbor "urgent" and in love

This is one of the avenues opened by investigators from Cagnac-les-Mines, also led by the Toulouse research section. According to those close to Delphine Jubillar, a neighbor would have been oppressive towards her to the point of destabilizing her when she passed him. "Some say she was afraid of it", confided Me Pressecq to Marianne. However, the person in question would have been questioned by the gendarmes and would deny any involvement with the disappearance of his neighbor.
