Since Monday, January 17, investigators from the Toulouse research section have launched several excavations in the town of Cagnac-les-Mines (Tarn) in order to find the body of Delphine Jubillar – who disappeared on the night of December 15 to 16, 2021 -. Research that was started after to the recent confessions of a former cellmate by Cédric Jubillar, who then revealed that the 34-year-old painter and plasterer had told him that he had concealed the body of the nurse near a burnt place.
On the strength of these revelations, the gendarmes then set up several research camps around the famous burnt farm, mentioned by the prisoner, but also around from a wild dump, located not far from there, reports Toulouse News. Veillant has cleared every square centimeter of this open-air landfill, the investigators are helped by about fifteen men – including several dog handlers and soldiers – as well as an anthropologist. According to the sources present on site, “the excavations in this wild dump should stretch over several days.”
A track already mentioned by the neighbors
Last January, our colleagues from The Dispatch had spoken with several neighbors of Delphine Jubillar. To the media, the latter had shared their hypotheses about of the place where the body of the nurse could be hidden. According to the words of a neighbor, there is no doubt that the latter was hidden in the land near her home.
“500 hectares with large elevations, ravines and inaccessible places for dogs. If we leave the hiking trails, one can easily get lost, hide“, he told the newspaper. And to conclude:I am convinced that we can easily conceal something or someone… for a very long time.”
