Disappearance of Lina, 15 years old: three suspicious cars, a house under surveillance… the investigation accelerates: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Still no trace of Lina. After testimony collected by investigators attesting to the presence of a Renault Clio type car on the portion of the road where the 15-year-old girl allegedly disappeared, the search is focused now on around ten owners of this type of vehicle. While a first phase of checks took place on Friday September 29, 2023, three other car owners would be targeted by the investigation, explains The Parisian Saturday September 30, 2023. The vehicles were therefore seized by investigators and combed through. “The gendarmes from the Strasbourg research section, accompanied by criminal identification technicians, continued their mission of inspection and genetic sampling around and on board the last three cars listed this Saturday,” reports The Parisian. Could Lina have gotten into this type of vehicle? This is the question investigators are trying to answer.

A house placed under surveillance

According to information reported by BFMTV on Sunday October 1, 2023, a dog brigade vehicle monitored a house all night from Saturday to Sunday located in Diespach, a town near La Plaine, where Lina disappeared. A seal was placed on the door of the house. It is the second time that investigators look into this home, but the reasons are not yet known. Already on Friday, the police were on site to check a blue-gray Renault Clio, parked just in front of the house. Sunday October 1st will be decisive for the investigation. Indeed, the public prosecutor will have to make a crucial choice: transform the status of the investigation into a preliminary investigation, which means that the investigation will continue to be carried out by the gendarmes, or open a judicial investigation to “kidnapping, arrest, detention and arbitrary confinement”. In the second case, “the investigation will be entrusted to one or more investigating magistrates who will have more means and facilities to carry out the investigations”explain our colleagues from BFMTV.
