Since Saturday September 23, 2023, the whole of France has been trying to find out what happened to Lina. And all the more so the inhabitants of Plaine and Saint-Blaise-La-Roche, the two communes of Bas-Rhin between which the 15-year-old teenager disappeared. It was in fact during a walk between her home in Champenay – a small hamlet attached to Plaine – and the Saint-Blaise-La-Roche station, approximately 3 km long, that the young girl found herself mysteriously vanished. On the road, she allegedly sent a video to her boyfriend Tao, which she had to join in Strasbourg by train, barely two minutes before her cell phone stopped transmitting. Obviously, this latest proof of life is of great interest to investigators. Only problem? Impossible to get hold of the young man’s phone, which he says he lost the day after his disappearance. Tao allegedly lost his smartphone in a manhole near an abandoned factory, while he was looking for Lina.
“I found it strange that this operation took place without the police”
Our colleagues from New Detective went there. It is actually an abandoned garage, located rue de l’Usine, behind the Crédit Mutuel de Saint-Blaise-La-Roche. There, a local resident noticed an unusual situation. “Friday September 29, around 4:30 p.m.she saw “unload an SUV with three people on board”. Intrigued, she then went to see the owner of the garage, who told her that it was Tao, her mother, and Lina’s mother. “They had come to try to recover the famous cell phone…she explains. A little later, the owner came out. He told me that Tao had spotted his phone at the bottom of a hole, and was trying to pull it up with a string and a magnet.” The resident found “strange that this operation takes place without the police”, which is why she chose to call them. Investigators arrive on scene about 30 minutes later, while Lina’s boyfriend is still struggling to get her phone. It will ultimately be necessary break a concrete slab to get it. He is therefore currently in the hands of law enforcement. A discovery which could prove crucial in the investigation into the disappearance of the teenager.
