Holders of several accounts on Discord
, rejoice! the instant messaging service
finally started rolling out the ability to quickly switch accounts, without having to log out and log back in each time.
Be patient though, the company says the rollout will take some time before it hits everyone.
Switching accounts on Discord is easy
Having multiple accounts on Discord can have its advantages, but also its big drawbacks, like having to log out and log back in every time you want to switch to another account. It takes time, it’s annoying and you have to remember passwords. Discord has announced that it has begun rolling out a new Quick Account Switching feature to make your life easier.
The American company has published an FAQ and a small user guide to access this feature. Click on your image at the bottom left of the software window, then go to “Change Account” just below “Set Custom Status”. Your different accounts then appear and you can from there access the account of your choice. Discord specifies that you have the right to have a maximum of five accounts and that if one of the accounts violates the rules of use, measures can be taken on all the associated accounts.
The fast account switching option is being rolled out gradually, and currently only a small number of users have access to it. Nothing is yet specified concerning the platforms on which the option will be added, but it is at least certain that the desktop application is one of them.
