In July, the government announced a 4% increase in university scholarships, for all levels. Find out the amounts allocated for the start of the 2022 school year.

The amending finance law of 16 August 2022 for 2022 for purchasing power has opened the door to a 4% increase in family allowances, social minima such as the active solidarity income (RSA), the allowance for disabled adults ( AAH) and the solidarity allowance for the elderly (Aspa), as well as the activity bonus. University scholarships are also concerned.

These scholarships distributed to students on social criteria can thus range from 1084 euros for level 0 to 5965 euros for level 7 (for a rate over 10 months). Some students may even benefit from maintenance of the stock market during the long holidays: their annual rate is then higher.

To calculate the amount of your scholarship, it is parents’ overall gross income for the year 2020 (tax notice 2021) which is taken into account. The student can receive the grant for 7 years subject to progress in studies, attendance at classes and attendance at exams.

To fight against student insecurity, the government has implemented and extended certain additional measures:

  • them registration fees and the rents in Crous housing were frozen for the 4th consecutive year;
  • in the context of learning, aid for employers are maintained until the end of 2022, including for masters;
  • the student Sant Psy scheme has been renewed for the year 2022-2023;
  • exceptional back-to-school assistance of 100 euros will be paid, either by CAF or by the Crous, to scholarship students on social criteriato recipients of annual aid of the Crous and APL beneficiaries no longer living with their parents;
  • the 1 euro meal system for precarious students has been maintained for the year 2022-2023;
  • the Pass’Sport has been extended to scholarship students
  • them APL will be revalued by 3.5% for students
