After Sugarland, Damon Gameau wonders about the future of our children in a new documentary, 2040, available on VOD from May 26 and on DVD on July 7.

In 2018, Sugarland was one of our favorites. Damon Gameau experimented with sugar consumption there. At the time, we saw him evolving alongside his pregnant wife. Today, Damon Gameau is the father of a little girl. Fatherhood seems to have pushed him into a whole new reflection. What world is he going to leave to his daughter? If he is not in a great hurry to see his little one grow up, he cares about how his environment will be in 2040. This is why Damon Gameau goes on an adventure again to bring all the answers to his questions … And ours too.

2040 thus asserts itself as a fascinating light on how we could protect our planet and even save it. And it doesn't seem that complicated. In fact, while traveling the world, Damon Gameau discovers devices already in place to benefit education, food processing and even energy. These methods could prove to be a real source of hope for generations to come. The challenge now is to democratize these incredibly revolutionary and useful devices.

Like Sugarland, the documentary 2040 presents itself as a tool that is as fun as it is entertaining. Thanks to this tone, Damon Gameau manages to awaken consciences without being moralistic. The director questions positively, which makes the message much more relevant. 2040 is a success because it manages to spread a positive morality despite the negative forecasts that we receive en masse for the future of our planet. The benevolence hovers from the beginning to the end of the film and that makes me feel good. We learn a lot without ever feeling guilty.

Told by the actor Kyan Khojandi in France, 2040 is now to be seen on VOD from May 26 and on DVD on July 7.
