Would there be a great trouble on the side of the Force? Series Star Wars: Ahsokareleased on Wednesday August 23 on the Disney+ streaming platform, attracted fewer American viewers than previous series in the franchise such asObi-wan Kenobi And The Mandalorian.

At the level ofAndor

According to data from Samba TV — an audience analysis company with a representative panel of 3 million Smart TVs across the United States — the latest Star Wars series reached 1.2 million American households before its first episode during the first six days of its broadcast. The second episode, released at the same time, was viewed by 956,000 households over the same period.

If this figure once again allows an original Disney + program to pass the symbolic bar of one million households, it marks a clear decline compared to previous Star Wars productions of this ambition.

For comparison, in May 2022, the first episode of the series Obi-wan Kenobi had been seen by 2.4 million households, twice as many people. Ditto for the beginning of the series The Boba Fett Book And The Mandalorian season 3, which both reached 1.7 million American households in their first six days of broadcast.

At the end of the day, Star Wars: Ahsoka matches the series Andor (1.2 million households also), released in September 2022. If it is still a little early to judge the popularity of the series, it remains a slightly alarming observation.

Because Star Wars: Ahsoka had the potential to bring together many more people, thanks in particular to the popularity of the Jedi fighter, by attracting fans of her adventures in the animated series Star Wars: Rebels And The Clone Wars. Could this be the start of fatigue on the side of the galaxy?

Created by Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian), series Star Wars: Ahsoka recounts the investigation carried out by the Jedi in order to prevent the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a threat that could upset the balance of the galaxy. Composed of eight episodes, its broadcast on Disney + ends on October 3.
