There was a kayak accident on the Lammer in Scheffau (Tennengau) on Saturday evening. A person was missing in the river and a major search operation began immediately. Water rescue, rescue, fire brigade and police were in action. An emergency medical helicopter was available and a police helicopter was also in use. The search had to be called off late in the evening. The operation was very difficult due to the large amount of meltwater and the strong current. The search is scheduled to resume early on Sunday.
