When we think of the most watched series on Disney+, we think of Marvel or Star Wars. But in reality, there is a series that has nothing to do with these two successful franchises that constantly accumulates millions of views: it’s cute, it’s animated and it’s called Bluey!
Yes, as SensaCine reports, the children’s series that revolves around a curious family of dogs is Disney+’s secret star program. More specifically, the story follows Bluey, a playful, imaginative and inexhaustible six-year-old dog, who lives with her father Bandit, her mother Chilli and her little sister Bingo. Renewed for a second season in 2019, a season 3 is currently in preparation.

The Mandalorian and Andor or even Loki and WandaVision just have to watch out, Bluey can boast of thrilling young and old alike with the quality of its script and its animation, which make it one of the most watched series on the platform. Because yes, Bluey captivates not only children but also parents… even the most well-known! Eva Mendes, Ryan Gosling and their children are also dedicated to the animated series, as the actress revealed in an interview with the Now to Love site in 2020.
Bluey is huge with us. Enormous. It’s really beautiful, I really like the series. [Les enfants] love Bluey and so do we. I think we’ve seen all the episodes twice. We really binged Bluey [rires] !
After expressing his enthusiasm for the show, Eva Mendes was asked to voice a character named Yoga Dog in a 2021 episode. She told The Hollywood Reporter that the producers called her, offered her the role and her response was immediate: “Say no more! I do !”
Bluey is also a series major with Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, which led to him too making a guest appearance in a season three episode where he voiced a horse named Major Tom.
“The series we watched the most during the pandemic was Bluey”, he explained to Collider at the time. “Because it’s the only show the whole family can laugh hysterically at.”
