Disney will recycle another cartoon into a live-action film


The Lion King, Aladdin or even Cruella, Disney has drawn heavily on its cartoons for live-action adaptations. Mickey’s firm already has a new film in development and it has just found its director.

Commissioned in 2020 by Disney, the Lilo & Stitch live-action film will ultimately be directed by Dean Fleischer Camp. Director Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, a feature film that mixes live action and stop motion animation, which is a critical and commercial success in the United States.
