Mark your calendars! The Avengers Campus, the brand new space dedicated to superheroes from the Marvel universe, will soon open its doors at Disneyland Paris: the date has finally been revealed.
All fans of marvel universe could soon see their dreams come true. A new areacalled Avengers Campuswill very soon make its appearance at the Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland (Seine et Marne). From Iron Man to Captain America, via Black Panther, Thor and Captain Marvel, this new space is totally dedicated to Marvel superheroes. The Parisian amusement park, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, unveiled the opening date of this Avengers Campus on May 24, and it will be next July 20 !
But what should we expect? According to the Disneyland Paris website, this new area should make visitors dive “in the middle of the action and the epic adventures of their favorite superheroesfrom the mystical arts of Doctor Strange to the dizzying feats of Spider-Man”. “It’s a unique place, like you’ve never seen. You will be able to live your adventure with Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther and others“, explained Beth Clapperton, artistic director of Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, the team in charge of the creation of the attractions. Promising!
Two top attractions
For the moment, two big attractions have been announced. “We start with the Worldwide Engineering Brigadecalled ‘WEB’. Team up with Spidey and launch webs to capture the Spider-Bots out of control before they wreak havoc on campus”, said Beth Clapperton. This should allow visitors to slip into the shoes of spider-man time for a ride. The Worldwide Engineering Brigade replaces the Armageddon Experience (based on the film starring Bruce Willis), which closed in 2019. The other star attraction is Avengers Assemble – Flight Force, which replaces the Rock’n’Roller Coaster with Aerosmith. Seated in vehicles designed by the famous Tony Stark, the Russian mountains will make you pick up speed before sending you to stunning loops alongside the Avengers team. Thrills guaranteed!
On the catering side, several establishments will open their doors, such as the StarkFactoryIron Man’s favorite fast food, but also the Gym Kitchen, a place where your food, like Ant-Man and The Wasp, will have been shrunk or enlarged on your plates. Finally, you will also be entitled to “meet-and-greet”or “heroic encounters” with your favorite characters in action in the Park’s Hero Training Center.
