District lists fixed – old and new faces in the Freedom Party

The committees of the Vorarlberg FPÖ met again and have now decided on the final two lists of candidates for the state elections in the fall. FPÖ party leader Christof Bitschi sees the course set for a successful state election and then wants to take on “leadership responsibility” in Vorarlberg.

As expected, Christof Bitschi not only leads the district lists in Dornbirn and Feldkirch, but also those in Bludenz and Bregenz. Two well-known faces follow him in the Bludenz district: Joachim Weixlbaumer and Kornelia Spiß. The Bludenzer was a member of the state parliament from 2014 to 2019. The Nenzinger was a member from 2009 to 2014. Both have the best chance of returning to the state parliament after the elections in October. Not an old hand Joachim Fritz doesn’t have any state parliament experience yet. The 49-year-old Kleinwalsertaler and district party chairman was elected second in the Bregenz district, just behind Bitschi. The police personnel representative has the mandate in his pocket pretty quickly and should therefore be able to deal with the issue of security politically in the future. With the Bregenz lawyer Dr. Hubert F. Kinz, another experienced MP, was nominated in third place. If the Freedom Party builds on the good poll results, the highest local councilor Robert Blum (4th place) and the Harder municipal representative Sandra Jäckel (5th place) could be two in the Bregenz district secure a mandate for further newcomers.
