On Saturday afternoon there were problems with cashless payments. Customers complained about failures.
Anyone who wanted to go shopping and pay cashless on Saturday afternoon just before the long Pentecost weekend was at best unlucky. As the “All disruptions” website shows, Postfinance and Twint struggled with disruptions, making payments impossible. According to the website, there were also increased defaults at Visa and UBS.
Twint also reported on its homepage that Post Finance Twint is not available or only available to a limited extent. We are trying to fix the problems as soon as possible. According to the “All disturbances” website, the first fault reports came in at around 11:47 a.m., and then around 12 noon there was a rapid increase.
Twint, Postfinance and Visa with disruptions in payment transactions… A few days ago in Germany, now in Switzerland… It’s funny that it tastes like Russia or China https://t.co/rQdeAm1sy0

Various users complained about the technical faults on the social networks. However, whether hackers from Russia or China are actually behind the problems will only become apparent when the difficulties are analyzed.
