Do not miss this letter to avoid a bad surprise on your CSG

For hundreds of thousands of withdrawals, the Agirc-Arrco pension changed on March 1, 2024. At issue: the update of the CSG rate. Up or down depending on the case. But some files are blocked… and you must then send your tax notice to your complementary fund. If you are concerned, you may have received a letter…

You are concerned, only if you receive a letter between March 5 and 24 asking you to send us your 2023 tax notice on 2022 income. A message aimed at avoiding a wave of panic and questions among the more than 13 million Agirc-Arrco pensioners. If your supplementary plan doesn’t give you any sign during March, don’t worry, this means that the update was done automatically on March 1st, or quite simply that your income has not changed significantly and therefore that your CSG rate has not changed.

Each year, Retirement Insurance updates the CSG rates according to your reference tax income (RFR), as shown in the table above and as explained in the article linked above. Mechanically, if your CSG rate increases, following an increase in income, the social security contributions deducted each month from your retirement pension also increase. And your net pension, the one paid into your bank account, decreases. Last year, nearly 900,000 withdrawals were lost, for more than 1.1 million winners with a falling CSG rate.
