Bad news for health spending. While the deductible had already increased at the end of March, it is the turn of the fixed contribution to be revised upwards. It will increase from 1 to 2 euros from May 15, for consultations with the doctor, biological analyzes and radiology examinations.
The flat-rate contribution will increase from 1 to 2 euros from May 15, 2024. The decision of the Union of Health Insurance Funds (Uncam) formalizing the measure was published this Wednesday, April 24 at Official newspaper. For each consultation with the doctor, biological analysis or radiology examination, the sum of 2 euros will therefore be automatically deducted from the amount of reimbursements.
This increase comes a few weeks after the doubling of deductibles which came into force on March 31, going to 1 euro for boxes of medicines and procedures carried out by a medical assistant (nurse, masseur-physiotherapist, speech therapist, chiropodist-podiatrist, psychomotor sessions in specialized care centers…) and 4 euros for medical transport, with an annual (50 euros) and daily ceiling.

Concerning flat-rate contributions also, the annual ceiling should remain unchanged: each person will pay a maximum of 50 euros each year. A limit is also set at 4 euros per day per doctor.
No fixed contribution is payable in the context of complete hospitalization of one or more days. also note that minors, women who benefit from maternity insurance, and beneficiaries of complementary solidarity health insurance are not subject to payment of this fixed contribution.
