The ZDF has announced a second season of the series “Doktor Ballouz”. The start of shooting is already in preparation.

ZDF has announced a second season of the hospital series “Doktor Ballouz”. The start of shooting for the six new episodes in summer 2021 is currently being prepared, according to a message from Friday (April 16). On Thursday, April 22nd, ZDF will show the last two episodes of the first season from 8:15 p.m.

“Doctor Ballouz” is the chief physician of a clinic in the Uckermark. The traumatized man and philanthropist is played by Merab Ninidze (55). His team includes Dr. Barbara Forster (Julia Richter), Dr. Mark Schilling (Daniel Fritz), Assistant Doctor Dr. Michelle Schwan (Nadja Bobyleva) and Temporary Carer Vincent (Vincent Krüger). The TV series “Doktor Ballouz” is based on the non-fiction book “Germany Outside: The Life of Dr. Amin Ballouz, Country Doctor” by Jasper F. Wenzel about a real Dr. Ballouz, who runs his country doctor’s practice in the northeast of Brandenburg.
