DOFUS: Ankama will ban manual connection

When introducing theLauncher, the latter had brought a small revolution for Dofus: automatic connection. No need to enter your identifiers, you come directly into the game. After several months of testing, this will become the norm with the removal of the possibility of connecting “by hand” to the MMO.

DOFUS: The end of the manual connection to the game at the turn

The last refractory will have to get used to it, it will no longer be possible to connect to Dofus by inserting your identifiers yourself, at least on the client. The Ankama Launcher will very soon replace the iconic connection frame. After the correction of several bugs, the company seems confident and judges that it is time to standardize this step, finally quite redundant.

Change is not so far away any more. Faareoh pointed out on Twitter the existence of a changelog for February 7 announcing this deletion. This action is far from being a surprise, players having been warned for several months. The modification will therefore be relatively painless.

However, we can remain skeptical. The Ankama Launcher sometimes remains very experimental and the Dofus client even more so. Disconnecting from it redirects to the connection frame, for example, and you will then have to close the window since it will no longer be possible to use it. On the side of Linux players, there are also fears regarding regular disconnections or the weekly reset of accounts, still awaiting a fix. In any case, some vigilance will be required.
