Dog rescued – Seven injured in candle fire in Linz

Not a nice present for the residents of a house on Linzer Wiener Straße. A fire broke out there shortly after noon. The fire department was quickly on the scene. Seven residents had to go to the hospital.

It may have been a candle that sent seven people to the hospital on Christmas Day of all days. The fire started around midday on the ground floor of an apartment building on Wiener Strasse. The Linz fire department was quickly on the scene and was able to quickly extinguish the fire. However, because thick smoke had already formed beforehand, seven tenants had to be taken to hospital with suspected smoke poisoning, according to information from the “Krone”. A resident’s dog was rescued.
