Dolly Parton is far from having enough: Saying goodbye to the stage is out of the question. She wishes for a death during a concert.

The American singer Dolly Parton (77) has no desire to retire at all. As the country icon said in an interview on the “Greatest Hits Radio” show, she can’t imagine ever leaving the stage in her lifetime. She is “not one who sits around and just does nothing”: “I would never retire. Hopefully one day I’ll drop dead on stage in the middle of a song.” She hopes it’s one of her own songs she’s singing right now, and not a cover song, Parton explains with a smile.

Of course she couldn’t choose all that, but as long as she was able to work, as long as her health allowed it and her husband was doing well, she wanted to give concerts. She was always lucky enough to be able to make her dreams come true. None of this should ever be lost. Dolly Parton made her debut in the ’60s and has released an incredible 65 studio albums to date.

Her album, which will be released on November 17th, will once again be a new beginning for Dolly Parton. She decided to produce a rock album. Among others, she worked with icons such as Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John and Miley Cyrus. “I’m so excited to finally present my first rock ‘n’ roll album,” she said in a statement announcing her new work. She is honored to have worked with some of the greatest music icons of all time: “I hope everyone enjoys the album as much as I enjoyed putting it together.”

Dolly Parton is considered one of the greatest music legends in her US homeland. She has received ten Grammys in her more than 50-year career. Overall, she has sold more than 100 million albums and topped the country charts 25 times. She is Miley Cyrus’ (30) godmother.
