Dolly Parton made her husband Carl Thomas Dean happy for her birthday: she recreated her old “Playboy” cover.

For the 79th birthday of her husband Carl Thomas Dean, Dolly Parton (75) came up with something very special. The US country singer has recreated the look she wore on the cover of the men’s magazine “Playboy” in 1978. She proudly presented the result in an Instagram video.

“You’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this. Well, it’s for my husband’s birthday,” Parton explains at the beginning of the clip, in which she has a pair of black rabbit ears, a pink bow tie, gloves and a low-cut, strapless dress wearing. Her blonde hair is styled in light waves and pinned up at the back. To do this, she chooses an intense eye make-up with black and blue kohl and pink eyeshadow.

Dolly Parton: “He still thinks I’m a hot girl”

Parton originally planned to be photographed again for “Playboy” on her 75th birthday in January 2021, as she revealed in a radio interview in October 2020. However, the US print edition has since ceased production. Since her husband would like the original cover so much, she insisted on slipping into her iconic costume again. “He still thinks I’m a hot girl after 57 years – and I won’t try to talk him out of it,” said Parton.

At the end of the video, she fades in a photo in which she surprises her loved one with the special gift. For this, Parton had her revealing look photographed again and put both the new and the old photo together in a picture frame.
