Country legend Dolly Parton (77) is known for her artificial mane. The singer says she owns over 350 wigs – but her husband Carl Thomas Dean (79) doesn’t like all of them. The singer revealed this in an exclusive interview with “ETonline.com”.
The “Jolene” singer doesn’t know the exact number of wigs she has. “I was once asked, ‘How many wigs do you have?’ I replied, ‘Well, I must have at least 365 because I wear one almost every day.'”

Her hair has now become her trademark. Parton’s role models include Mae West (1893-1980) and Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962). “As my career progressed, I felt like if you’re a star, you have to stand out,” she said, explaining her motivation.
Your spouse doesn’t like a hairstyle at all
Her husband isn’t as enthusiastic about all hair styles as the 77-year-old herself. He doesn’t like one hairstyle in particular: “When I wear my hair too tight. Once I said: ‘You don’t like my hair?’ And he countered, ‘Well, it looks too severe’.” But after 57 years of marriage, this no longer bothers the country singer.
By the way: Parton never shows her natural hair, but she still makes sure that it is well cared for. “I keep my own hair about the same length, bleach it and style my roots,” she continued.
Dolly Parton and Carl Thomas Dean have been married since 1966.
