NFT à 1,6 million de dollars : la clé unique du jeu Dookey Dash s’est vendue à 1 000 ETH

The Dookey Dash Golden Key sold at a crazy price

From January 18 to February 15, Yuga Labs offered a competition for members of the Bored Ape (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yach Club (MAYC), around a game called Dookey Dash.

The winner of this competition is an 18-year-old Fortine streamer: Kyle Jackson, responding to the pseudonym of Mongraal:

He thus won the “Golden Key”, a unique key in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT). If the real function of this key has not yet been fully revealed, the auctions nevertheless panicked.

Mongraal first listed it for 2,222 ETH, and he received several tempting offers, including one at 690 ETH from UPDDAO. The streamer said he would accept if the bet was doubled, but it’s ultimately Adam Weitsman’s offerCEO of a scrap metal recycling company, who was accepted.

The transaction was thus concluded last night for 1,000 ETH, or more than $1.6 million at current price:

Yuga Labs on all fronts

It is common to see NFTs from different Yuga Labs collections trade at remarkably high prices. In May 2022, for example, it was n0b0dy.eth who bought land from the Otherside metaverse for 625 ETH, or $1.6 million also at the time. This land had the particularity of containing a unique artifact, and has not changed ownership since.

This collection also ranks fourth among the largest NFT caps, while the podium is occupied by BAYC, CryptoPunks and MAYC, all owned by YugaLabs.

To participate in the Dookey Dash game if you did not have a BAYC or MAYC, you had to hold an NFT Sewer Passwhose sale prices easily exceeded 3 ETH during the opening dates of the competition.

The Sewer Passes have moreover generated 39,843 ETH in volume as of this writing, or nearly $64.6 million. With a 5% creator fee on OpenSea, we can therefore estimate YugaLabs’ revenues at $3.22 million, just on the secondary market for this collection.

Despite a slowdown in the NFTs market inherent in the bear market, Yuga Labs shows that it knows how to bring its community together, initiative after initiative.
