  • Doom once again runs on an unusual platform.
  • A developer plays the shooter on Windows Notepad.

The legendary 1993 first-person shooter Doom needs to work on every object imaginable – at least that sums up a trend that’s been wowing the web for years.

Sometimes the popular action title runs on a pocket calculator, sometimes on a gedautomat, yes, even on a pregnancy test, Doom has already been seen.

Now the internet announces the next achievement. Developer “Samperson (Crime Arc)” wrote on Twitter (@SamNChiet) that he got Doom to run on Microsoft’s text editor Notepad. You can see a video above.

If that’s not fancy enough for you, you can still watch fans play Doom on a tractor display and even drive a tractor in the game – crazy.

We’ll show you which devices fans have already got Doom running on.

It’s only a matter of time which platforms will see the shooter next – maybe a brick. If you just want to play a newer title in the series, we recommend checking out Doom Eternal.
